Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how BoomWords (the “App”), developed by Brohe (“we”, “us”), handles information. It also covers this website, boomwords.com. The short version: the App works offline, has no accounts, no ads and no analytics, and we do not collect personal data from it.

1Information stored on your device

To make the game work, the App saves the following only on your device:

• Nickname — a name you choose to personalise the game. It does not need to be your real name and is never sent to us.
• Game progress — selected languages, best scores, stars, mastered and difficult words, rounds played and time spent.
• Settings — sound, music, words per round, interface language and reminder time.
• Premium status — whether your subscription is active, so you can keep playing offline.

This information is not uploaded to our servers. We cannot see it and we do not share it with anyone.

2What we do not collect

• Your real name, email address, phone number or postal address
• Location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone data
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA / Android Advertising ID) or any other tracking identifiers
• Payment card or bank details
• Usage analytics or crash reports — the App contains no analytics or advertising SDKs

3Internet use

All words and games are built into the App, so it plays fully offline. The App only connects to the internet to communicate with the Apple App Store or Google Play when you buy, restore or renew a subscription and to check whether your subscription is still active. New words and games arrive through normal app updates from the store.

4Subscriptions and purchases

The first three games of each level are free. All games can be unlocked with an optional monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription (BoomWords Premium), which may include a free trial. Payments, billing, renewals and cancellations are handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies: Apple Privacy Policy · Google Privacy Policy. We do not receive your name, email or payment details from them.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; the current period stays active until it ends.

5Notifications

If you turn on daily reminders, the App schedules them locally on your device (at most one per day). No push-notification service or server is involved, and you can turn reminders off in the App’s settings or your device’s notification settings at any time.

6Children’s privacy

BoomWords is designed for learners of all ages, including children. Because the App does not collect personal information from anyone, it does not collect personal information from children. We designed it with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in mind:

• No ads, no analytics and no third-party tracking.
• Purchases and links that leave the App are protected by a parental gate.
• The App asks players not to use their real name as a nickname.

7Keeping or deleting your data

Your data stays on your device until you delete it. Uninstalling the App permanently removes your nickname and progress. If your device’s backup feature (for example iCloud or Google backup) is turned on, the App’s local data may be included in that backup; this is controlled by you and your device provider, not by us.

Earlier versions: versions 1.x of BoomWords included an online scoreboard that stored a nickname and scores on our server. If you used an earlier version and would like that data deleted, email us your nickname at support@boomwords.com and we will delete it within 48 hours.

8This website

boomwords.com does not use advertising or analytics cookies and has no user accounts. Like most websites, our hosting provider and security software may briefly process technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Links to the App Store and Google Play take you to websites governed by their own privacy policies.

9Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or Turkey’s KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you. Because the App keeps your information only on your device, you can view, change or delete it yourself at any time. For any request, including about earlier versions, contact us and we will respond promptly.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the App changes. The new version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. If a change is significant, we will also mention it in the App’s release notes.
